Who We Are

ParacleteMinistry.org was a calling brought to fruition when founder, Sheila Glidden, MS MFT enrolled in Eastern Nazarene College's Graduate Program in Marriage and Family Therapy.  After completing course work, which trained her in many therapeutic interventions, brain development, chemical make up and therapeutic theoretical interventions, she completed a Pastoral Counseling Internship where she was able to blend her educational training with spiritual gifts and disciplines used for several decades to minister to the total person with a Psycho/Spiritual approach to therapeutic care.

She remained on staff at the Pastoral Counseling Center where she completed her internship for several years in addition to counseling as a "Christian Counselor" in a secular Community Mental Health organization. She also volunteered counseling/pastoral care in a startup venture program at a Christian Counseling Center called the Well; “a place for hope and healing” where she later joined the staff for a season.  

She has served individuals with emotional, personality, and spiritual issues and done marriage and family counseling.  Her mandate is to assist clergy and to "come along side" (Paraclete) congregations in the ministry of spiritual, emotional, mental, and spiritual intervention. 

It is becoming more common for the church to be faced with people whom have dabbled in practices, entertainment, and media that has invited unexpected spiritual oppression and/or experiences.

Her calling has led her to offer affordable services to small churches as well as larger, more diverse congregations.  She has implemented effective scriptural, spiritual constructs to train pastors and lay people in ministry to set individuals free from besetting sin, generational strongholds, and unhealthy attachments.
